When I start out in my working life after leaving school, most of the jobs that where available where most manual labour, this meant that you where keeping yourself in shape through your job.

As time has gone on these types of jobs have disappeared, and have been replaced with call centre type jobs, people spend their working day sat in front of a computer, leading to people getting over weight, hence the need to exercise, as your article points out there are many other benefits to taking regular exercise.

So true, Bill. The nature of work has changed quite a bit. Movement is essential to good health, so we have to find other ways to fit it in.
